I picked up that clip on Youtube since I don't have the film with me. I was just experimenting with color calibration and I find it really hard to bring back colors to a film that is only magenta or all yellowish, it's perhaps my most challenging thing to fix whenever I do some DVD remastering.
If anybody know a good program that could possibly help out with that specific problem please let me know.
Here is perhaps the best I can do with a movie such as Massacre Survivor which is already in an advanced state of deterioration. The print probably suffered the vinegar syndrome.
* Don't pay attention to the aspect ratio, I know it's wrong. I just did this quickly to check with colors.
I've also used Massacre Survivor for trying out various restoration techniques because that print is very difficult. Colours are so messed up and there's a part of the image tinted differently as well. It's also very dirty with tears and dirt everywhere. I always come to the conclusion that it's not worth the effort. :D
Yes Cactus you're right. This one is really a lost cause. :( It's possible to boost some colors but the difference is too small to worth the effort like you said.
