Golden Harvest, 1971
Lee plays Cheng, a migrant worker who has travelled to Tailand in search of work. He finds refuge with a group of Chinese workers who find him work with them at the local ice packing factory. Mysteriously, members of the group start to disappear, causing a mutiny in the factory with workers demanding an explanation for the disappearance of their colleagues. In a bid to quell the rising tempers, Cheng is promoted to foreman. The management hope that this gesture will calm the workers, but this is shortlived when the disappearances continue. Cheng finds his former friends ostracize him and in an attempt to regain their friendship he investigates the factory, looking for clues, and discovers a condult for drug trafficking and the bodies of several of the missing men packed within the ice. Cheng decides to go to the big boss`lair for the explosive showdown.
Special about the movie: Lee is redundant in the first half of the movie, as his conscience will not allow him to fight whilst wearing a jade amulet given him by his mother, reminding him that his kung fu skills should not be abused. Lee is only triggered into action when during a scuffle it is ripped from around his neck.
