A moral tale about a young man from a simple background whose kung fu skills win him the favour of the local gambling house owner. At first his appointment as bodyguard is a means by wich he can support himself and his brother but slowly he is sucked deeper into the ways of the criminal empire he serves. After his ambitions lead to the deterioration of the most simple understanding of right and wrong, it takes the murder of his brother at his wedding to show him the error of his ways. The stage is set for a showdown, as Chi Kuan Chun strips to the waist to take on the little character in an expertly choreographed duel.
