japanese cinema has many sub-genres, a rich history and variety of films to see. not many have made it to home friendly formats in the west since the introduction of dvd. what are the films that we wish we had in a english subbed format

this is a rare gem of a film. a rare example of empty hand fighting films that focus on action and less on plot that moves quickly and has a wide array of fighters. kempo is rare on screen and we are lucky this one was made. the intenstity is on the level of some sonny chiba movies. its a winner!

What are the rare Japanese films that haven't surfaced yet or that don't have a good release? What I mean is a terrible print or not copies so far or no subs...? I'm sure there are quite a bunch of them but these days nobody talks about Japanese films, so might as well revive the trend.

i have a soft spot for these films and many have made it to DVD. an aquired taste for sure but there are some real gems in the genre.

i love this guy! he can act and kick some ass he is the real deal and in his day a pretty big deal. tons of his fims must have never made it to the west.

Hi guys Sarutobi Sasuke aka The Jumping Monkey Series that was aired on Jap TV 1980 Yasuaki Kurata is in it .... Was just by pure luck I found it on youtube ....
